Veggies for Breakfast

Start Your Day with Veggies for Breakfast

Eating veggies for breakfast may sound unappealing, but there are subtle ways to do it that won’t seem unpleasant.

Why eat veggies for breakfast?

Some say you should be eating a certain amount of veggies in cups a day, while others say it should be many veggies in a day. Either way, if you plan on eating veggies with every meal, you are probably getting close to those guidelines.

Eating vegetables, in general, has many benefits, such as reducing the amount of sugar you consume which also helps you lose weight and reduce belly fat.

Veggie Omelette

Putting vegetables in your omelette or omelet (American spelling) is one of the best ways to eat veggies for breakfast.

Vegetables like onions, bell peppers, kale, spinach, broccoli, and other veggies are easy to cook into an omelet.  Add some shredded cheese if you’d like.  Garnish with avocados or cucumbers and any other vegetable or fruits.

Fruit and Veggie Smoothies

Adding veggies to your smoothie is another great way to increase your intake at breakfast time.

Green leafy vegetables are a favorite to add, but there are many others.  Avocados (technically a fruit, but it’s often grouped with veggies), sweet potatoes, cauliflower, beets (also beet powder), cucumber, etc.

Plant Sausage w/Veggies

Finally, eating a plant sausage is an additional way to add veggies to your breakfast.

A good choice for plant sausages is Field Roast. They make various flavors that will go great with your breakfast. They blend vegetables, grains, legumes, and fresh herbs & spices to create their products.

Add veggies like kale or cook with onions and bell peppers.

Conclusion

Filling up on veggies is a good habit to make because it’s nutritious, reduces sugar intake, and has many other health benefits. Breakfast is often overlooked when it comes to eating veggies, but it shouldn’t be. Make sure to start your day with a balanced meal, including vegetables.
